Arriving just inside the trees the carrages rattled to a stop. One could hear Uncle Finny chortling about something as he untied the horses and lead them off to the side.
They had camped here many times before, so the fat logs were already set up around the fire-pit in a half-moon and the area cleared of forest debris. Teneka's mother was the first to arrive at the back of the cart.
"Hello, my name's Aretha." She said straight away, and held out her arms for a hug. This woman was beautiful, her dark sun-kissed skin, and black hair, the sparlking green life in her eyes, all accentuated by her gloriously colorful, patchwork dress, "Come along dears, it's time to eat. Nick's already started the fire.
Climbing out into the starry night beneath the trees was like stepping into a new world. The fire, already larg and crackling with the spit and the sticks (it seemed Finny had decided to make both fish and chicken to celebrate the guest). He then wandered back over to Chie with his large arm around a rather tall and scrawny, sandy-haired man, "This is Nick," came his bellowing cheerful voice, "You should get to know him around, heh heh, eh Nicky?" The man laughed and blushed,
"Heh, yeah...hi, Finny the chicken's gonna burn," Finny proceeded to start giving Nick a noogie when their attention was caught by a beautiful start of a song. Aretha had begun singing. Nessa, a young brown-haired girl who looked about 14 picked up a tambarine, singing along. A red0haired girl who looked just a bit older statred singing too, and little Mar-mar pulled out her Violin and started playing a fast tune, to wich her mother stared dancing, her feet moving flawlessly. Teneka laughed, "Come on!" She took a seat by Finny, who was stomping laughing and singing along. A fat woman then seemed to come from no where, her gray-white hair unkemt around her rosy cheeks.
"Oh," said Teneka, "This is Granny Anna,"
"Nice to meet you deary," called the woman as she made her way to the fire to cut the meat and begin seving. A small boy followed after her with knobby knees and brown hair, "And that's Kit. There, I think you've met everyone!" With the ecxaption of the unsociable guy who was still huddled in the carrage. Garanny Anna handed Chie a Chicken leg,
"That's a fine peice," she said, "Best be thankful tonight!" she laughed as Finny soot and began to bellow out the song and do his own russian-style dance.
"Miss Tinin, Miss Tini, you should dance too." Teneka had barely gottedn a few bites of her food down before the child dragged her away to join her mother. She gave Chie a shrug and went along.
"You're a musician ain't cha?" Said Finny, putting his great arm around Chie, "Well let's start up the genorator an' have a go! Whatddya say?" And the gypsies danced on in the firelight.

Well he was hungry, but not willing to join in such festivities. He changed beneath the blankets and ran off into the forest as a coyote. He didn't need this family, but somehow he always found himself retuning to them. Surely no one would notice him sleeking off into the the dark to find his own meat.
As he jumped from the carrage his crimson eyes studied Chie, she was just like the others, he snorted and trotted off.

He limped back and disappeared into the cart, changing human again and going straight for the first aid kit and the water. He drenched himself and cleaned ech of the wounds, careful to avoid using his broken hand and proceeded to bandage it, stifling grunts of pain as he did so, and hoping no one would see him like this. Over all it had been worth it..sorta, fighting a huge, powerful wolf, especially one as supposedly famous and Azriel himself and getting away with his food was quite an accomplishment, and worth a broken paw.
So he sat, shirt off, peroxide out, and began to bandage the other wounds, a task that proved difficult with only one hand.

Chie wiped her hands on her jean jacket and stood to walk back to the carraige to get her guitar and amp. "I bond ned da genorador." She muffled out while trying to eat the last bite of chicken in her mouth."I have batteries for the amp." She choked out the last comment as she walked to the carraige. She caught only a glimpse of the coyote trotting away as she pulled out the amp. "It's pretty powerful so tell me if it's too loud." She called to everyone as she plugged the guitar in. She listen to the voices and other instuments. She tested a few chords until she foundthe ones that matched the music. It was too much, tears fell down her cheeks as she played remembering the family that showed her love while secretly hating her. But she never stopped playing. Not hearing if anyone commented to her. "I'm sorry," she mummbled when the first song faded and she stopped playing, "I just need a moment." She quickly turned her back to the fire, walking to a nearby tree. She couldn't hold herself up as the sobbing took her. The faces of her long since past parents flashed before her, what little she could remember. Finally the tears stopped and she sat against the tree catching her breath and cleaning her face. The fire a distant comfort, and the thought of the wonderful people here.
She didn't see, but heard the coyote come back. she wiped her face one more time before walking toward the carraige. "Um, Sam? Is that you?" not knowing what to expect she called out before she got to the carraige, the last thing she wanted to do was intrude. "There's still some food left if you want some," she said pulling back the tarp just barely, not enough sto see in. then she smelled the blood. "Are you okay?" she opened the tarp the rest of the way slowly.

The sight that would meet her eyes was nothing less than Makiro sitting with his broken hand hidden and the fresh bandages everywhere. He couldn't ignore her question,
"I'm fine wolf, get back to yor party, I already ate."
He didn't even give her the grace of looking directly at her, or at her at all, he focused on putting away the first aid with his good hand, and made sure to give her the impression he did not want to talk about it. He then pulled the blanket around himself and huddled in the corner once again, careful to avoid his hand, and hide the new blood already soaking through the bandages he had just applied.

Teneka saw Chie peeking into the cart and made her way over,
"Hey Chie, what are--" She gaped at all the blood on the bandages and looked up to see the warning look in Sam's eyes and noticed his hidden hand. She couldn't bring herself to say anything and just looked at Chie. Part of her told her to just leave him alone, and that thought sounded safe. She gazed wide-eyed from him to Chie to him and simply couldn't decide what to do, and frozen in indecision. Should she get the others? Should she ask what happened? Should she help him? Would he let her? Probably not, maybe Chie had an idea?

The smell of blood was all Chie could focus on. "You're hurt, please let me help." She was being a bit foward and quite stubborn, though the coyote obviously didn't like people. Then she could smell the other, the hint of a wolf. One wolf in particular. "You fought Azriel?" she gaped at Makiro through the darkness, amazed that he had survived. "Please let me help." She pleaded again.

"I'm fine now, get back to your party." he repeated,
"You fought Azriel? Please let me help."
At this he looked directly at her. She knew him? Regardless all his eyes told her was 'no, get away from me.' Somehow he had the feeling she would crawl in and help him anyway, he sent his glare to Teneka, warning her to stay away. If he had been in coyote form, he would have been growing.

The look in his eyes made her hesitate. "Why do you want no one to help you?" Chie was slowly backing away, but she wanted to know.

With a glare,
"None of your business," he snapped softly, his voice gruff, and he turned away from them and curled up under the blankets.

Teneka took Chie's hand, "Maybe we should just leave him alone..." Behind them, the music was still going, however a bit more calm than before. Finny was slowly making his way into the spotlight to tell a story. Everyone was slowy gathering around the fire as the festivities slowed and Teneka saw that place much warmer than their current position, and she didn't mean temperature.

Suddenly she was again aware of Teneka beside her. "Are you sure? He needs help," Chie looked back into the carraige once more before backing towards the fire, "If you need any help..." She let her sentence drop as she turned away with Teneka. The fire warming her where Chie never realized she was cold. Though there were people around her and a warm fire before her, she couldn't stop herself from looking back at the carraige. Where Sam lay, cold and in pain. She sighed, wishing he would have let her help.

Finally left alone he thought about leaving again, but something held him still. He told himself he preferred the warmth of the blanket to the cold of the snow. His hand throbbed with pain, but he had way to much pride to say anything, and he tried to let himself sleep.

After a little while Chie coudn't haddle it anymore. Even if he bit her she would help him, you need two hands to do first aid. She stood, defiant, and marched to the carraige. "Sam, I want to help you, let me see that hand." She demamded climbing into the carraige fiding a candle and match by sheer luck. She found the first-aid kit quickly and opened it looking for more bandages. "You need two hands to wrap it decently." She mumbled pulling out the gause and alchohol.
((OOC: I have no idea how to spell.... gause? ... -_-))

He clenched his teeth and didn't move. Just because she wanted to help him, didn't mean he'd have to be happy about it, or let her. He remained under the tattered gray blanket and ignored her. Expecting her to wrestle his broken hand from hiding and thus causing more pain, but he didn't care. Maybe she'd go away if he stayed still long enough. Maybe he was being childish, but this was his way.

When she had everything out she looked back at the lump of blankets. He wouldn't fool her, she didn't say a word as she ripped the blacket off of him and sat on his side. Quickly she grabbed his poorly wrapped hand by the wrist, instantly telling it was shattered. "Sam, why didn't you tell anyone, this is bad we need something to brace it with!" Chie quickly looked for something that would suit up to the job, all the while staying where she was holding his arm very still.
