Azriel wandered in, it was dark now, as he had spent the entire day in the city, wandering to get the hate out of his mind. Finally calm and away he turned off his mp3 and took off his shirt. He sniffed as he dropped the clothes casually on his bed and walked into his shower. He turned on the water and walked back to his room where he removed his boots, then back to the shower where his finally relived himself of his too-constricting pants and stepped into the streaming shower. His black hair clung to his face and his tail went from bushy to sleek, unable to resist the weakening force of the heated water. He thought deeply, a dangerous place to go. His toughts always seemed to end in him breaking something. He thought about what the goddess had said. Why was he the only one who could communicate with the stupid b*tch anyway? He closed his eyes as he began to work the shampoo through his hair. And that new girl, Zya. That made him chuckle. The way she had looked at him...despite the hate he had for "love" he still enjoyed the attention of females. Zya wasn't too bad, she ranked about the same with...well he supposed she and Chie both ranked above Tifa, the fox. Though Chie had her annoying side, then again so did Zya...felamles. He sighed, annoyed, why was everone so annoying? And why did he have to be so f*cking important? His fist met the white tiles of his shower as the suds flowed down his body to the drain. He had a feeling someone had followed him, but who?

Chie felt so dissapointed in herself. When he walked away Azriel had gotten so far ahead of her that she got lost. It took her several hours to find her way back to the park. So there she waited until she saw him come out of the forest and venture into the city. Now she sat leaning against his front door wanting to go in, but afraid of the consequences. "It's a good thing I went back for my guitar," she whispered to herself with a smile as she tuned the intrument and put on her head phones for a little bit of practice, "At least I won't be able to hear him in the shower."

Azriel stepped from his shower feelin only slightly better. He tied a white towel about his waste, and had a smaller one around his shoulders. He walked to his kitchen, and fumbled trough his fridge, pulling out the steak he had left to marinate earlier that day. The sun was beggining to set, it was time for dinner. He put vegitables to boil, and cut up potatoes into thick fries, and had them ready to cook.
He then decided it was time to pay attention to the guitar playing outside his door. Yes, he had been aware of her presence for the last fifteen minutes. With a final touch of the towel to his ebony hair, he opened the door; there she was, Chie, sitting on the steps of his apartment playing her guitar, mp3 in place. He couldn't help but smirk,
"Hey you, what are you doing here?" he asked loud enough to be heard over her mp3 and perhaps even startle her. His question sounded cruel, his vioce harsh, but if she turned, she would have seen the angry voice paired with an amused grin, and an impossibly soft looking towel.

Zylenia was about to come out from her hinding place when she saw that other female wolf again. Was she Azriel's mate or was she persuing him as well? She watched from her alcove as the woman stood at the door but didn't let herself in. So she isn't his mate... she would have joined him without a second thought. Zya thought to herself as she saw the girl sit in the top step and take out a guitar. She would have to wait here for now.
She bent her head over and waited, she could hear the distant sound of water and smiled to herself as she imagined Azriel while he was taking a shower. She shook the thoughts away as she heard the water cease. She kept her attention on the wall next to her as she waited and waited. The guitar was sounding really good and Zya woundered if she was out of her league. Hearing the door open brought her back to herself and she watched as Azriel asked what the fay was doing there on his step. She noticed the playful grin he used as he tried to sound angry and knew there would be no talking to him tonight. She found herself full of envy and jealousy as she watched him act so... flirty with this woman. Zya hoped that she would just want to say hi and leave so Zya could take over and get her chance but it was a dim hope at best. She watched and waited praying to Azmith to give her a chance with Azriel.

Azriel's nose then caught a familiar scent , and his gaze shifted from the fay at his door to the presence somewhere out on the street. It was her, the new girl. He licked his lips, smirking at Zya, though he could not see her, he looked directly at her as if he could. His gaze shifted back to the other girl before him, "well?" he prompted, if she had no purpose in coming to see him he would simply close the door and return to his currently cooking meal.
And Zya, her obvious attraction made Azriel want to laugh out loud, along with Chie's attempt at stalking him the way females often did. He was surprised that Tifa had not shown up as well, perhaps ditching her at the park was enough of a hint. He did not like foxes, especially that one, and she had given him no reason otherwise. The night air grew cold, "What do you want, I'm not going to stand here all night." he prompted again, the smile long faded. He was not privy to standing for hours in a towel with his front door open for all to see.

Realizing Azriel knew of her presence, Zya exited from her hiding place and looked at him with strong questioning eyes, trying to ask through her expression whether he wanted her there or not. She stood there waiting to see what the fay would do, hoping still that she would leave. She had an utter desire to speak with Azriel and find out more about the pack and him. She sensed that even though he was annoyed by her constant company there was also a dim connection between them. Making her own decision she walked forward and into the line of site of the other she-wolf. She made a faint attempt at a smile and introduced herself. "Hello, my name is Zylenia." Zya tried to keep her feelings of hostility toward the fay out of her voice but sensed that she'd only partly succeeded.
Zya knew she was just a love struck puppy to Azriel but she really wanted to show him that that was not the truth of her affection. She was not truly in love with Azriel but was instead looking for a good mate... he was an exact match for her, even though he seemed to think very differently. This was her chance and this foolish fay was messing things up with her childish stalking. Zya was becoming frustrated and desperate but did not let it show in front of Azriel.

Chie paused with her guitar as she thought she heard someone talk to her. she lowered her head phones to listen, then hearing the angry voice behind her she turned. Seeing the male standing in his doorway in only a towel, her face instantly burned bright red. Then looked toward the she-wolf as Zylania walked into view pronouncing herself. "I'm sorry I didn't realize I was intruding, I'm sorry," Chie mumbled turning back to Azriel and picking up her guitar, "I, I guess I'll see you around, bye" She hurried down the street toward her own appartment, feeling a little embarassed. She had heard and smelled the slight hostility Zlania felt towards her but she didn't know why. "I bet they're seeing eachother," she mumbled to her feet as she walked briskly,"can't believe I've been following a taken man this whole time." she tried not to take it personally, it was her own fault, she always tried to hard. She started to run, just to put her mind on her feet rather than on her thoughts.

Azriel heard her talking to herself as she ran away. Immediately deeming her an unworthy pack member if she ever wanted to join the ranks of Azmith. She had run, simply ran away, and on top of that, jumped to a stupid conclusion. Azriel would never take a mate. He glared after the running, cowardly girl, and snorted. I'll never understand females, they always act so weak. Idiotic, stupid playthings. They run and cry so easily. he thought of Hell Fang then, the only fay that had ever been anywhere close to being a mate, and his thoughts filled with malice. He hated her, he truly hated her...and to think, at some point he had tried to love her! He could never love anyone, no one ever again; or it would be their death.
He shook his head to free himself of thought of the past and the stupid girl that was seemingly, randomly hurt for no reason. He looked back to Zya, and leaned against his door jam, crossing his arms, "Well? Are you going to stand there all night? What do you want? I'm going inside." His voice was flat and he turned to walk inside, leaving the door ajar for Zya to follow. He returned to the stove, where his dinner was ready. he pulled the perfect, savory steaks from the oven and the fries, and turned the heat off the vegetables, and skillfully made himself a plate. Surprisingly, he began another plate, and brought them both to the dining table in his apartment. Placing one at one end, and went to sit three seats down with his own dinner and began eating. Still in only a towel.
His liquid gold eyes returned to the girl, "You coming in?" He was becoming increasingly frustrated with all these females. He would admit they were amusing for the most part, but at the moment they were bothering him more than they intended...and not in the good way either.

"Yes, I will come in thank you." Zya answered as she walk into the room and closed the door behind her. "I thought I might be able to speak with you about the pack... and its history." Zya looked around as she spoke and took her place at the second plate "Thank you." she said to him and began eating in a very formal manner waiting for Azriel to reply. She hope he didn't think of this as prying but would not deny that she was rather curious about all of her new "family."
"I really would like to know how Naomi became apart of the pack, I know that your sister found her but that's about it." Zya said to fill the silence that was passing between them as they eat the meal. "This is really delicious by the way." Nodding at the food as she took another bite. She let it stay quite for as long as she dared and then asked the question she had been dying to ask yet very afraid to. "Why did you accept me into the pack? I've been watching you and the others for a while to kind of get to know you before I offered myself to your mercy and many tried to join yet not one of them did you let in..." Zya paused fearing she had said to much and began eating again as she felt her face burn red.

Azriel finished eating and raised and eyebrow looking, at her with a sideglance, then her started nodding his head before a deep, chuckle erupted from him. Females were so cute when they acted like this.
"Heh," he slowed his laugh, "Do you really care about Naomi, or do you just want to know why I let you in?" He leaned onto the table and looked at her with a smirk, "Well," he begain, "Naomi was wandering alone, and yes, Nicomae found her...as it was Nicomae simply took her in. I was against it," he said leaning back again, "but there's little room to argue with her when it involves pups. So that it. Thats the story. Now..." He stood to take his plate to the sink and began scrubbing it clean, still in a towel. Once he put the dishes away, "excuse me," e said and dissapeared into a hallway and emerged minutes later with his hair combed and wearing his sweatpants. He was going for comfort.
"Now," he repeated, "the pack...I guess you have a right to know." He took in a deep breath and wandered to sit on the large, black, overstuffed couch in his livingroom. "Well, most of us are descendants of Azmith. So that's basically how the pack was created. Of course we didn't know this. My sister and I were separated when I was chased out of our homeland. She found me again about a year later. At the time, she was still young, as was I, but I didn't rember her. Thats when Azmith stepped in. I started having dreams...." he cut off and seemed to jump forward in the story, "When she found Naomi, the three of us were always wandering around together, when I could endure tham, otherwise I was alone...but by al the laws of nature, three wolves make a pack. So there you go. Azzy became part of the pack the same way you did." He paused, "And that is because Azmith told me to." He was silent after that, watching for her reaction.

Zya was happy to hear about a piece of their past and continued to listen noticing his jump forward at the part about his dreams. She did not pry, wanting to let him tell her in his own way at his own time. She could've almost laughed at how this seemingly strong pack now looked so loosely put together, but she said nothing knowing it would surely insult Azriel.
"So... the only reason you accepted me was because Azmith told you to?" Zya asked a little hurt that Azriel would have no other reasons. "I mean, don't get me wrong I worship her as well but that's it?
After a pause Zya could have slapped herself when she remembered back to way she had wanted to join the pack. "I shouldn't have said that... having Azmith tell you to do something is more than reason enough to do it. I really have no room to talk any way... I had a dream from her or something, urging me to join this pack... so I did. After a while of making sure you wouldn't hurt me I began to get other motives and began to want to join of my own desires. I guess you didn't really get the chance to get any other reasons to allow me to join... you probably found out a couple minutes before you saw me right?"

Azriel's smile grew as she tripped over her words. He stood and walked over to her, leaning down, putting his hand on her chin and leaning in so close that personal space was entirley eliminated, and purred into her ear, "You wanted more? Or maybe," his hand glided over her neck and down her arm, sliding round to her waist, "you wanted me?" he let his breath fall over her ear and paused a moment, before standing up straight again. With a slight chuckle he turned around, "Keep trying, she-wolf, it'll get you no where. I rule this pack alone."
He considered for only half a second, that maybe he could try again...but no. He would not do it again, he would not kill anyone ever again. She was a member of his pack, and that meant she gained the pack's support and bond for life. If she was in danger thay would protect her, he would protect her, but that didn't mean he would let his heart get involved...but somehow, some part of him he would never admit, wanted her to keep trying, to prove that she was worthy to be his mate. "I'm not what you want," he said, "Trust me. I'm not."

When Azriel rose from his seat she never expected him to come so close and it was hard to control herself against the sudden rush he gave her. She had to keep herself calm and slow knowing that he didn't like sudden movements. She couldn't resist any more, she had watched him for so long, had wanted him for so long, and now was a chance. She stood slowly making sure she didn't make a wrong move and not trusting herself to move and faster.
She moved a little closer to Azriel hoping he would not move away. She knew when she had passed through his personal boundaries when the hair on the back of his neck raised to stand on end. "I don't know what happened to make you so... alone, and I don't kind if you never tell me, its your business." Zya paused trying to put her words together right, all the while getting closer to him until they were an inch apart and she was whispering. "You are free to love who you want, or to not love and you can choose to lead alone. But, I to am free to... love who I want even if that person is reluctant to feel the same way.
"I'm not saying you have to love me back, I'm not even saying I would demand to lead with you if you felt the same, but I am saying that is how I feel. That is all, do with it what you wish. I chose you long ago, as I spent so much time watching the pack and watching you. I know all to well what i want even if it is dangerous to pursue you..." Zya stopped not able to continue, not knowing what else to add. She waited For Azriel to reply to her. She had just revealed her soul to him and he was more than capable of throwing it at her and completely rejecting her. She waited holding her position.

Azriel took in a long, deep breath through his nose, and let it out slowly. This was the second time a girl had poured her heart out to him, supposedly baring her soul to be torn apart by his jagged soulless teeth.
"I told you girl. I'm not want you want." his tone held no sympathy, but was edged with bitterness. He put his hands on her shoulders and pushed her pack to arms length away, his anger rose with each word, and he spoke through clenched teeth, "Dangerous? I would kill you." his voice was serious, dead serious, his tone so flat that the truth was like a bullet, aimed right at Zya's heart. "Love me? You're so naive, you don't know what I am. You don't know what I've done." To completley reject her was exactly what he intended to do. "You stalked my pack, you joined my pack, and now you are the lowest member of my pack. I will not endanger the lives of my pack, even if it means: Breaking. Your. Heart." The last words came out one at a time like shocks, stinging horrible slams. He could tell Zya wanted to cry. "I'm sorry," he said calming down, "but I cannot return your feelings. You should go." he wandered to the door and opened it. Some part of him did feel bad for turning her down. His instincts said 'hey she's hot, go for it!' his heart ran from the idea of opening again, and his mind took all the factors in to come up with the result. He wouldn't do it again. He couldn't trust himself, there was no telling when he would snap, when he would do it again; the horrible deed that had gotten him banned so long ago.

Knowing she was making Azriel angry Zya kept her mouth shut. After hearing his hurtful words Zya felt as if he had physically torn her apart. Walking toward the door she paused before stepping out and chanced speaking again. "I have heard of your... misdeeds on the wind. Heard that you killed your last love. Heard you were banished from you own pack." Zya though every accusation at him wanting to hurt him as he had her. "You may may feel utter pain and loneliness, but if you every want to be free of that in any way... you know were to find me." Zya moved to the door a little more before giving her final blow. "You feel something! I know it, I can see it in your eyes behind those stupid walls you put up and if you think you have to hurt me because your afraid to kill me... than I know exactly what you are! A heartless bastard."
With that last desperate attempt to wound him in some way, Zya jumped straight up and climbed the wall above Azriel's apartment and climbed until she reached the roof and stayed there walking around trying to work off the anger she felt and the pain Azriel's words had caused her. She had never thought the story she'd heard from Nicomae was true and was shocked at the proof that it was. Would Azriel follow her? Would he be so enraged as to kill her? She thought and concluded that with how she felt it really wouldn't matter right now if he killed her physically, she already felt dead emotionally.
