He felt himself walking with his head held high, chect out, tail and ears up. He let his usually undertoned ego swell just a bit after the fight, but upon seeing the falls he let his tail drop, but kept an ere of confidence about him. He sat at the falls, as he looked at them, the usual bitterness he felt for the goddess was faded by the adrenaline rush and the taste of blood. Blood?
He stepped back, the ground warm beneath his feet the scent of earth and water was mixed with the blood from his enemy. He blinked in astonisment. He had tasted blood and not lost control! The last time he had, he had gone made and nearly killed her. His sister would be smiling her smug little smile 'knew you could', she would say. Suddenly his good mood vanished and the alpha slumped down at his favorite place beside the falls to contemplate the meaning of his control. Perhaps he could take a mate now, but he couldn't be sure. This time could have been a fluke, who knew what the next scent of blood would do to him.

Tara stepped out of the falls in his furry form. he was mediatating and spotted Az. Tara didn't want to start trouble with the wolf so he shifted to his fox, letting the water run over his shoulders completely calm and relaxed. The wolf was dangerous that was evident by the blood but he sensed that the wolf was far from attacking him. So he nodded to Az his ice eyes sparkling in the mist at the bottom of the falls. 'How is Nicomae?' Tara asked easily heard over the falls.

"Don't know, don't care," he spouted, as unrelenting as ever. He would protect her if she was in trouble, but if she wasn't in trouble then he cared less than nothing about how his sister was. He was annoyed that his favorite spot happened to also be a favorite spot of his rival, "Why does it matter to you anyway, fox?" He had yet to show any real agression, but Azriel wouldn't be caught dead acting nice to anyone, especially another male.

Tara gave a side glance to the wolf. 'she was attacked by a wolf named Kosu and I stpped in. I was seeing if she was ok.' Tara said his white fur stained red were the scabs had shown through after the fight.

"Last time I saw her she was just fine," he leered at the white wolf, glad to see him in the condition, "I've never once seen that b*tch fight, but I'm sure she could take care of herself." I mean c'mon, she's my sister, he wanted to stay. Sure he'd take care of her, she was bonded by blood and pack, but he wouldn't bother if he knew she was fine, why bother risking his skin when it wasn't needed? Talking in circles was something he did regularly, and it would be no use to call him on it. Naomi could't protect herself, one howl from that pup and he'd be right there to tear her attacker apart, but knowing Nicomae, she'd be ten steps ahead of him. He didn't have any emotional connection to the pup. She wasn't his, so he could care less, except she was part of the pack and thus family. Besides Nicomae would skin him if he tried to get rid of her anyway.

Tara nodded his lavender eyes twinkling. 'That's good to hear.' Tara stood and walked towards Azariel calmly and sat not close but not far to Azariel. 'May I ask how the heck you are able to do it? Be an alpha I mean. One is getting in trouble another is due with pups and one is in the hospital due to stupidity...'

"What are you talking about?" None of his girls were pregant, he would know, if they were he would be the father. None of them were in the hospital, though that damn coytoe rival of his was; he was not a member of his pack. To his knowledge no one was in trouble, they had given no howl for help and so must be fine. He shook his head, blowing off the other canine's farfecthed information, "Being alpha is easy, you protect them, they trust you, you keep your word and wits. Beat the sh*t out of anyone who gets in your way, and no one can touch you," his voice bordered on nostalgic, but it quickly faded as he relized her was remisising about tearing out her throat so long ago. It was a balance, care for them, protect them, stay with them and in turn they do the same for him. Despite his tough demearnor, he cared a lot for his pack, and would die for any one of them.

'I meant my pack... but protecting them is one thing protect them from myself is another...' Tara said.. He would die for any of his pack but especially Alec. But he wasn't always the kind and gentle fox others had seen. the darker side of him was always surpressed so he couldn't hurt his family. kosu had brought that out in the fight and it bothered him.

This was a lot like Azriel himself, and hearing this made Azriel think himself better than this other creature. He had the control now not to hurt his family, and that meant....he had changed. He was no longer that rabid beast from the past. The more he thought about it, the better he thought of himself. Maybe he really could take a mate, but he would be careful, test the waters for blood first. However Azriel kept these thoughts hidden with a snort, "Then you're a weak idiot who doesn't deserve to be alpha. Your pack is your blood, you hurt them, you hurt yourself."

Tara had no comment to that and turned his head to Az. 'I know. That's why I get stronger. Or try at least. I have avoided my psat like a rat avoids a snake...' Tara sighed. 'Maybe I'm thinking too much about it...' Tara stretched. 'Sorry for intruding... i just figured you would be the best one to talk to...'

Again a lot like Azriel, and Azriel did not like seeing himself in another. Not for sentimental reasons, but because he felt like he was being copied, though he knew better. "You are thinking about it too much, and you did intrude." Azriel's good mood had fallen back into it's aggrivated norm. Why would anyone find him the best anything to talk to? He was no one's friend, especially not this one's. He had stayed here too long anyway and he felt his annoyance growing though nothing in particular had set him off. Still feeling a bit 'holier than thou' he got up to leave, but left a final word of advise for the juvenile, "Your pack is your blood, if you forget that, then your pack doesn't deserve you." He turned and left, trotting, then sprinting into the wood, not wanting to be followed and looking for the next best distraction from- he caught a whif coming from his territory, gasoline. Suddenly he was angry and ran to follow the scent.

(ok) Tara stood and shook his head. So much he didn't know. But at least he had some enlightening discussions with another alpha. Eveb though Azriel didn't like him much or even want a friend really but Tara sensed the darkness within Azriel a while ago. It was a similar yet different darkness than his own. who knew perhaps... Tara shook his head. There he went again over thinking the situation. Tara turned towards the falls and once again lay beneath the falls the water running over him bringing calm to his storm. After a while he decided to go and wander. Alpha he mayy be but a wanderer at heart.
