Fireflies, the quiet of the river as it rushed past him. Her it looked likemore of a stream but still he sat. Elbows on his knees and hands holding his chin he watched the tiny balls of light fly around, accenting the world beneath the moonlight. He could almost hear a piano playing, perhaps it was his imagination, or something from the city. The twilight was so beautiful, and he found himself thinking much deeper into philosophy and the like. Solitude was hard, perhaps he shouldn't have left his clan after all, but then he would never have seen this, all this majesty of the forest, even as the snow coated the trees and rocks in the late winter. The beauty was unmatched, if only he had someone to enjoy it with...

Swift was out for her evening run when she saw the pyrflies. She slowed down and followed the stream of them to where she found a red fox. She didn't know what to do, she didn't know him or how to approach him. She sighed and slowly walked out sitting down next to him with her knees pulled up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her shins to hold them there. She put her chin down on her knees and watched as the pyrflies danced.

Several long minutes of silence passed as his wish was granted. There was someone. His nerves stirred then and he forced out the words, though his voice was gentle and quiet, "Beautiful isn't it? It's so quiet..." He paused letting the silence almost envelope his words. "I don't come here very often, but it's nice when I do." he said, "What's your name?"

She didn't respond right away, a little shocked that he had spoken to begin with. Her eyes watched the pyrflies as one landed on her nose and she giggled. "Swift." she said even softer then he did so as not to startle the bug. "I run through here every night. But it has never looked like this before."

He spoke to match her softness, "It's only like this just before the moon turns full, and it's pretty now, heh," he leaned back against the rocks, laying back to look at the stars, his coat falling open slightly, "you should see it in the summber." It then began to snow, ever so lightly.
"I always wondered how it does that. Snow without a cloud in the sky...maybe it's blowing in from somewhere." He let the whispers be swallowed by the silence for another long while, and the night air caught a rather harsh chill. He finally sat up, "Would you like to join me for some hot chocolate or coffee at the cafe?"
He was sincere, and he looked at her, his eyes as gentle as his voice. One could tell he was cold, his nose was pink, and if he had human ears they would have been pink too. He stood, bruching the snow off his clothes and offered a hand out to her with a smile.

she laughed lightly at his pink nose as she took his hand. "Sure." she said finding she liked talking with this man. "What's your name?" she asked not only sounding but looking curious as her ears twitched.

"Arrvic," he said as he helped her up and began walking with her through the forest and to the city. The chill became worse and he shoved his hands into his pockets. Arriving at the cafe, it was like a sigh of relief as the warmth rushed ver then and the scents of coffee and chocolate filled their noses. "Pick anything you want," he said, "I'll pay." he smiled as he too eyed the menu. Spotting the hot chocolate and danishes, strawberry his favorite. The few people that were still wandering after dark were lounging around with friends and a few couples could be seen sitting too closely together. But Arrvic was not that type, he was much more of a gentleman, however clumbsy and with too much of a sense of humor when it came down to it.

Swift studied the menu. "Just steamed milk is fine. And thanks." she said and took a seat at one of the tables next to one of the floor to ceiling windows.

Now sitting by the window at the small table, Arrvic found his voice again,
"So, Ms. Swift, where are you from?" Small talk indeed, but the point was far from defined. What deeper things does one say to a person he just met? "I'm from the forest myself, and perfer it there, but I like to come to the city to play piano in the plaza."

"I'm from here and there." She said not really knowing what to say. "I like to travel a lot. But I prefer the city really. It's a great place to run."

Now came the awkward silence of a first meeting. However, it was then broken as Arrvic burst out laughing. "We need to go somewhere more lively, ever been to Club Wolf?" He had never been there himself, but it seemed tonight would be a god night to go. He looked at her, eyes playful and daring. This girl seemed innocent, pretty, quiet, just like him. His thoughts even facied what could come of their meeting. What had brought them together? And at Moonlight River of all places. He let the thought drop as he foundhimself already standing.
[OOC: I'll go ahead and continue at the club if you don't mind]
