Tarakami entered the library and immediately picked p on the absence of sound. Noy even the sound of pages turning... odd for the library... He wandered around and saw a large black book, and looked a it's cover. The History of the Fox: A complete history of the Artic Fox pack Kourokami Tarakami froze. That was the pack that his family had been in until they were seperated. And by the time he found them again the pack had lost it's former glory and was fading away. his parents had died and he was alone... He remembered the time perfectly... It was the first time he had ever allowed tears to fall from his eyes... Tarakami put the book back with his eyes closed. Why did he need to know about them? They were ghosts of a past he wanted to forget...

Bam! A small girl smashed into him as he stood at the shelf putting a book away. Her pack was stuffed with manga and one could see a few volumes hidden in her shirt. Her eyes grew big and she dashed passed him with a rushed, "Um, sorry sir!" and the little thief disappeared, soon followed by a rather angry librarian chasing her through the rows.
She was miking her way toward the door but in her haste, where were they? When did the library get so big? SHe tried to shove the volumes from er shirt into her pack but there simply wasn't room, she thought of dropping them, but what if she was never allowed in the library again? She'd never get em. So she kept running coming to a dead end and sliding around, somehow dashing back past the man with another rushed, "Sorry sir!"
And she was then trapped, dashinginto the room with the large table for rading she was stuck at one end, the librarian at the other and a few guards, she could get away right? She would right?....right? She froze for a moment deciding where to run next.

Tarakami stepped behind the guards and to two out silently and swiftly. A jab to the back of the neck and an elbow to the ribs. The third one turned and recived a fist in the face. tarakami turned to the librariian and looked him dead in the eyes. 'Exuse me sir how much are those volumes of manga?' The librarian thought about it with a pale face and whispered. 'About fifty dollars' Tarakami scowled and looked at the pup. He walked towards the pup and saw quite a few volumes of Saiyuki, DNAngel and even Blackcat. 'Pup. Whats your name,' he growled gently letting the pup know about his obvious irritation but that he wouldn't hurt the pup either.

Hearing the comotion as she came up the step, Ourali rushed in. "Tarakami, What have you done?!" she shouted at him, seeing the guards on the floor, one with a bloody nose. She walked over and checked on the bloodied guard. "Great, it's broken. What the hell is going on, that you have to deck the guards?!"Furious she stood in front of her friend. Using what little power she had, she lifted herself from the ground to be at eye-level with him. "Explain yourself." She snarled at him lifting her shades to look at him through her night-black eyes.

Tarakami met her gaze unfliching and looked at the guards. 'They were going to attack the pup.' He indicated the shaking pup behind him. 'I couldn't watch that happen...'

She let herself down until her feet silently touched the floor, quickly she turned to the pup. "That does't look like homework you've got there," She still had her shades up showing her dark eyes to the pup, "My advice to you would be to put every last one of those back and beg the librarian for forgiveness." She was now in a bad mood. The librarian had already called the authorities, and she didn't want to be involved. It made her feel like a babysiter half the time, Tarakami getting into trouble, and her having to get him out of it. "And YOU! I want you to apologize to the guards, who were doing their job. And help the one with the nose you broke." She pointed at Tarakami, though never took her eyes off the pup, waiting to see what she would do.

Tarakami sighed and looked at the guards. 'Sorryn about the nose...' He helped the guard up and put the nose back in place with a crunch. The guard yelped but the nose whad stopped bleeding and it would mend in about a week. He turned back to the pup amd walked directly up to it and took a volume of DNAngel and turned to the librarian. 'I'll buy this one and I'm sorry about the scare...'

Quickly she snatched the book out of his hand. "This is a library, not Borders." Ourali was trying to still watch the pup as she scolded Tarakami, "ask the librarian for a card so that you can BORROW the manga."

Piaro was now both afraid and angry that these two were attacking her. Borrow? Did a card cost money? She was a street urchin and very much without. If only she'd have stuck to stealing just one, she'd always got away with that before. Now this scary mean lady was yelling at her and the guy that helped her, and even he was being mean. Her big black wings made her even more afraid and it was certain, she definately didn't like either of them.
Then he took her manga and offered to buy the one volume, and now the mean lady had it. She frowned, now she'd never have that one...Her expression became a frowning pout and she grit her teeth with teary eyes scowling at them, her face turning red. She dropped the books in her arms and the ones from under her shirt, but her favorite ones in her pack remained as she transformed into her pup self and dashed out the door and down the street as dast as her little puppy legs could carry her. She did not want to be caught by that mean winged lady one bit and disappeared into the alleyway. No sign, but she didn't stop. She turned human again and climbed the ladder to the roof.
Once she thoght she was clear she continued running to another part of town, where she would find dinner.
