Name: Genos ~fuzzy~
Age: 25
Race: Dog (border collie)
Appearance: When not in his preferred form as a collie, Genos looks like a loner. His right left eye missing and covered by a makeshift patch and his other eye a pure gold. His messy hair is black with gold and silver streaks, and usually is seen with a cigarette tucked behind an ear or in his mouth. He is tall around six three and burn and cut scars run along his well muscled body. He is usually seen wearing a white shirt with a brown leather vest, black cargo pants and studded belt. His collie form, his preferred form, looks, simply put like Lassie with black fur where all his scars are and the missing eye is white in this form.
Personality: Genos is a paradox. Complexly moody yet apathetic. He tends to be stoic, pretending that most things don't bother him and they usually don't. When someone gets close to him they still see his stoicism but then they realize how paradoxical he is. For someone who doesn't get bothered he gets quite angry at people who hurt his friends. Loyal to a degree that borders insanity he only steps aside when friends are fighting. If friends are fighting he sits on the fence refusing to be pulled into the middle of complicated messes. As a lover he is absolutely a giver. He'd die before letting the one he loves be injured, whether emotionally or physically, and it's this devotion that usually drives his relationships into the ground. So he developed a slightly paranoid air around him, always second guessing his relationship, and always walking on eggshells around them. His 'other side' is moody gloomy and violent. enough said.
Likes: Genos enjoys the company of people despite how distant he is. He's always sketching, playing his guitar or violin, or singing. And he smokes like a chimney. He enjoys the adrenaline rush of a fight but tries to avoid confrontations, because his 'other side,' may end up killing someone and then he'd really be in trouble. And ice cream. He will never say no too ice cream.
Dislikes: He hates women beaters, and man haters. He also hates people who trash other types of music. bigotry and racism, and his biggest pet peeve are those who are convinced that there breed is better than all others.
Mate: Deceased
Origin: Genos was born in the city but traveled often, and final settled back down in his birthplace.
History: Born in an alleyway, Genos was an orphan at birth. That's at least what he will tell you. His mother abandoned him the day he was born and he never knew his father. Genos quickly learned that as a puppy his greatest weapon was to look cute and hide the fact he could shape-shift into a person. So for several years he was in home to home, although it wasn't as pretty as one would think. his first home was decent enough, the people there treated him like he wasn't there unless the children were there to pull his tail, or to feed him. For about a year he lived in the house of the neglectful family, until he was sold. And not to some elderly old woman looking for a marvelous pet. He was house trained and probably the most well behaved dog on the planet, but it didn't matter. His next 'owners' where extremely abusive. They beat him , yelled at him and left outside all year around. He learned a new lesson. Not everyone can be trusted.
His third and final home was a godsend compared to the previous one. The family had seen him in the backyard tethered to a tree, one eye missing, extremely skinny and multiple cuts all over his body. They stole him from the insane group of people that did this too him, and took him deep into the forest. there they healed his wounds and told them that they knew his secret. They knew he could change.
Genos was stunned of course. He spoke to them and for the first time in his life he realized he wasn't alone. The couple that had rescued him were named Silver wind and Softrain. They were shape-shifters as well and they could become wolves. Genos was at first nervous to be with these two wolves but they introduced him to their pack, a misfit crew of coyotes, wolves, foxes, and even a bear and a lynx. Together they hunted and together they traveled the deepest parts of the forest and beyond. As he grew an romance blossomed between himself and Moonriver, Silverwind's and Softrain's daughter. As their love grew so did tensions between Silverwind and Genos.
Silverwind was the alpha and he didn't want, as much as he cared for Genos and saw him as a son, his daughter to be mates with a dog. So Moonriver and Genos hatched a plan. In the dead of night they ran off, only leaving a message for the pack, telling them they were sorry but they felt starting a pack of there own was the best for all.
They would have made it too but tragedy struck. Moonriver and the four pups she were carrying died. Genos and the very pregnant Moonriver were seeking a place to call home when they stopped for the night to rest, when a very large lone wolf emerged from the wood and attacked them. Though the male wolf was roughly twice his size, the collie bravely fought to protect his mate. Anyone with a brain could predict what happened. Genos, was a collie, his opponent was a wolf. Genos was left amongst the bramble and fall leaves to die as he watched his helpless Moonriver get slaughtered by the insane wolf. Genos was found by a group of gypsies and nursed back to health. Genos traveled with them playing tragic songs and haunting melodies, that could make the stoniest of hearts weep with sorrow. since then Genos has left the company of the gypsies and lives in the poorest section of the city, making it day by day, singing here, playing there, selling a sketch or two, all the while his heart still shattered by the loss of Moonriver, his snow white angel.
