Kiram was wandering around the park in her furry form. The black and red fox was graceful and yet seems intimidating. She put her nose up in the air as the wind blew by her. She sighed and layed down under a tree. Glancing past the trees to the buildings she sighed again. "Why would anyone want to trap themselves?"

"Sometimes being trapped is the only way to get away." Came the velvety voice from behind her as the half-face emerged from the brush. He was much larger than the vixen, intimidating, strong, almost scary as he walked into the light. His fur shone almost green apart from the white half of his face, stained. Like his soul, darkness but there was just a sliver of light within. He was thinking, of all the loss, his pack, his niece, and her. The memory of her. This girl somehow drew him the same way she had. But this girl was safe, as long as it was just simple conversation she was safe from him, for now.

The fur on the back of Kiram's neck stood up slightly as the man approached. "Why would anyone want to get away from something so bad they would trap themselves? In walls that have no life? In a city made of nothing but noise?" She loved her home in the forest where the walls were made of the life of earth and the only noises were those of the packs running and the birds as they took flight. She was intrigued by the wolf that just appeared to her. He seemed different from the others she had seen.

"Because they fear it, or fear themselves...or hate it." He lay down several feet from her and sighedm staring across the street at the cafe and the other buildings, he hated them and loved both sides, his pack in the forest, his home in the city, the music of the city. He thought of his mp3 and missed the sound of Three Days Grace blaringinto his craibium, but remained still, watching her from the corner of his eye.

Kiram was staring at him processing his answer. She relaxed and the fur on her neck layed flat again. "And which one are you?" She asked. "Azriel the lone wolf. I thought you avoided others." She wasn't meaning to be rude if that was how he took it. Simply stating the facts what she knew.

"You've been misinformed," he said, sitting up and shooting a molten gold look her way, his eyes seemed to violate hers, almost inatimate and at the same time sad, "I'm no loner I have a pack. And I only avoid those I don't like." his thought reverted back to her question, I am neither, and both. The city is my home, the forest is my calling, I am damned to dwell in both." She reminded him so much of her it was almost uncanny, but he knew they were not the same person. He chuckled and looked away, "Besides, I don't like to have just one, I like to take it all." there seemed to be a double meaning in his words, a lust, a blood thirst, and entire lifetime of history half0summed up in just one sentence.

Kiram couldn't look away. She had been misinformed. This man was not what she had heard. She was drawn to him. She stood and took a few steps towards him before she could stop herself. She shook her head. She heard a beeping sound and looked to her clothes folded neatly next to a bush. She walked over and looked at her watch. Shifting quickly behind the bush she dressed and then walked out and sat down on the ground where she had been laying before hand. She met his eyes again. "Then why do your eyes show a sadness that doesn't want to show itself?" He confused her. The way he responded to her questions. She was enjoying this conversation which she very rarely did.

That question brought a growl rumbling lightly from his chest and he did not answer, only eyed her more human form. He wouldn't tell his past so easily. He turned to face her, eyes peircing, "You can find your own answer for that." he said, willing to let her fathom her own ideas of his past. He locked away that with the dakness within him, the darkness that almost killed her. If only he could stop thinking about her...

Kiram desided to not be her usual self and walked over to him. She knelt infront of him. "If you so choose. Then I'll try to find it for myself." She looked into his eyes. "You're thinking of a love. The love you lost." She had heard stories of his past and knew of her. "She meant much to you didn't she?"

He would have snapped at her, but instead backed away glowering into the brush and shifted back to his human form, dressed himself, and stood dark in the shadows, eyes closed, arms over his chest leaning against a tree.
"She is the past, and the past is dead." his voice was sharp, however thick as velvet even when tense. Would no one understand that it was his own teeth and claws that had left her bloody and limping back to her pack with her throat nearly torn out? That he was a darngerous monster that shouldn't be trusted. He didn't like to be trusted, she had trusted him and it almost killed her, and now he had an enitre pack of wolves that trusted him. He hated it when people understood him like she had, but even she had not understood enough to stay away.

"The past lives in us no matter what we really want to think. The past makes us who we are." Kiram looked over to the city again. "Just like the walls make the city and the trees make the forest." She walked over to him. "The past never truely dies." She wanted to place her hand against his cheek but instead put her hands in her pocket and just watched him.

His voice held a warning growl as she aproached, he did not want to hear what she was saying. Now she was sounding like his sister, with that "all is conneted embrace the truth and be one with it" attitude. I know that, I need not be reminded, and I'd rather not be. Keep to yourself vixen. You don't want to know this one.
He took a breath, his bare chest expanding and he stared off at the stree that lead to the plaze, and then to his house. Part of him missed his white side, the pure side, but the darkness held him gray, a tense, walking ball of seduction and misery. Not misery he would fully discuss with a stranger.

She heard the growl and stopped. "I take it you don't like that kind of advise." She turned to her other side of mind and smirked at him walking forward just a couple steps and staring at his face. "Then take this one. You hate the past so much? Then screw it, forget it, and move on. Take you pick." She knew that was rude but this self didn't care. There were only limited options when it came to a person's past.

He laughed at that, a rich dark sound, unlike the rest odf his pack he couldn't forget. The amn goddess made him remember every moment and keep it all."Fine then," he said, "What does the present have for me right now?" He opened his eyes, liquid gold penetrating her gaze. The question sounded intimate, and it was meant that way. Now, Azriel was not one to go making quick work of women in their beds, or any work at all, in fact, he perferred not. But there were other things he enjoyed.

"Explore your land Azriel. Live in the beat of it!" Kiram said dancing away. She turned her light saphire blue eyes to him. "Life of the present gives you many wonders. Let's think. Where is some place that has few people few traps and at least one thing you like." She spun her hair flying around her face. "The fountain perhaps. Where people can enjoy the music of life and the out doors all at once."
